Bee Beautiful

Bee Beautiful is situated on the Furness Peninsula and is an innovative, animal-friendly cosmetic company renowned for its bath bombs and soaps. The company produces hand-crafted products and has been running since 2006. Each handmade product contains at least one ingredient relating to bees such as honey and beeswax.

Bee Beautiful is always looking for new ways to incorporate the produce of nature’s busiest workers into its creations and is currently investigating the use of propolis in its products, a substance with antibiotic properties used by bees in the construction of hives. Bee Beautiful also supplies kits and ingredients so customers can make their own bath bombs, soaps and beauty products.

Prior to contacting Sensible, Bee Beautiful relied on inkjet and laser printers purchased outright and bought new toner cartridges as needed. As Bee Beautiful expanded, the company was printing between 60-100 invoices a day. This all added up and the staff soon realised they were spending a small fortune on replacement toner cartridges and new printers as the workload increased.

When one of the printers’ drums broke and slowed down the company’s operation, Bee Beautiful’s owners found themselves reluctantly ready to fork out another few hundred pounds for a new machine. Before they had chance to do so, they heard an advert on local radio for a company named Sensible, following this they took to the internet for more information and made contact.

After getting in touch, Sensible’s Managing Director Phil Graham visited Bee Beautiful to assess its office print needs. Following this consultation, Bee Beautiful was supplied with three printers on a cost-per-print plan with a small upfront cost. The three devices supplied were efficient Kyocera laser printers, one capable of copying and printing, the second a colour printer for printing labels and leaflets, which Bee Beautiful have since stopped buying from a printing company and started producing on their own, the third is mono for printing invoices.

As well as receiving these machines to tackle their office print problems, Sensible also supplied Bee Beautiful with a 3D printer. In the past, Bee Beautiful had used moulds constructed by themselves, but with the new technology they are now able to design and print them on site with ease.

Heather Randell & Colin Eastham, Owners of Bee Beautiful, summarised that “by using Sensible, Bee Beautiful saves over £2,400 per year on office printing. But saving money only tells half the story. Sensible also provides fantastic customer service. If anything goes wrong, Sensible are straight out to sort any problems and Phil has fixed everything so far and we have stopped worrying about office print which means that we now have more time to focus on running Bee Beautiful.”
