Lyn Exley – St Georges C of E School
St George’s C of E Primary School is a happy and caring school in the centre of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. They have an extremely talented, hardworking team who strive daily to go that extra mile. With a commitment for high standards in all areas, they were not ready to let unreliable technology hold them back.
When Sensible first approached St George’s they were having real issues with their current provider, Apogee. Lyn Exley, Office Manager at St George’s C of E School told us that “we could just never get hold of them to fix the printers, everything was a disorganised long process, and repairs were incredibly slow. When we couldn’t print during SATs one year we even tried to fix them ourselves out of desperation”.
Lyn went on to say, “Sensible called at just the right moment, we were about to start looking for other providers, they were local, friendly and put forward a great proposal and so we agreed”. Despite the school being tied in to a contract, Sensible not only offered to cover their early cancellation fee, but were also able to save St George’s School 30% on their photocopier costs.
Installation began and Sensible setup three Toshiba photocopiers that offer the school fast print and copy speeds, booklet folding and stapling, along with lots of other useful features tailored to suit the needs of the school. “It was really easy” said Lyn, “the installation was quick and everything was done for us”.

In fact, St George’s C of E are on track to save almost £10,000 over the duration of their new contract with Sensible. Overall they have saved time and increased productivity, reduced stress levels and lowered their costs.
After going sensible with their copiers, St George’s School have since gone sensible with their computers as well. The school’s server was running extremely slowly, so Sensible took a look and quickly got to the root of the problem. The server has recently been reconfigured, and Sensible are providing ongoing IT support for added peace of mind.
